Education:

M.A. Photographic Studies, Derbyshire College of Higher Education,1991

Diploma in Photography, Manchester Polytechnic1973
B.Sc. Chemistry, Loughborough University1970
I am currently working on a set of ideas, which relate to, and investigate historical aspects of natural history. The art works draw on both the histories of science and of art. Collectively these works are titled 'The Order of Things'.
I am interested in exploring and making reference to special / academic collections and reserve collections which are generally not seen by the public - the hidden archives of earlier investigations!
I also try to work between the traditional disciplines of study, particularly art and science. In Modern times institutional forces have segregated these subjects of study but I try to fuse areas of knowledge, to open up conceptual possibilities and visual experiences.
